Moving Forward the Future of  Health Care for Children and Youth: Families, Partners and  Communities

Family leaders sharing resourcesThe Family Voices National Conference, "Moving Forward the Future of Health Care for Children and Youth: Families, Partners and Communities," was held May 24-26, 2007 at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC. Conference participants met to share information and strategies for improving health care for children and youth with special health care needs. Over 200 family leaders and partners participated in workshops, breakout sessions, and keynote presentations to gain new understanding of current critical issues including Medicaid policy, information technology, family-centered care, quality assurance, wellness, transition, youth perspective, cultural competence and much more. Thursday evening, May 25, featured an Awards Reception and Showcase of Family Activities.  Awards recognized the hard work and dedication of many leaders, partners, volunteers, and organizations.  See our Awards page to learn more.

 

The Showcase of Family Activities provided an opportunity for family leaders to share information, tools, and materials that highlight the work they do in the states with families and professional partners.
