The Consortium for Children and Youth with Disabilities and Special Health Care Needs

DESCRIPTION

The Consortium is a partnership of Georgetown University Child Development Center; the Institute for Child Health Policy at the University of Florida; the Starr Center of the Heller School, Brandeis University; and Family Voices. The project focuses on understanding and improving access to services for children and youth with special needs through research projects on rehabilitative therapies, health insurance, transition services, telehealth and assistive technology. Family Voices assists the research projects to include family perspectives. This project is funded as a National Rehabilitation Research and Training Center.

MATERIALS

The following Consortium Briefs are based on findings from Your Voice Counts! The Health Care Experiences of Families of Children with Special Health Care Needs, a survey conducted in 1998 – 1999 by Brandeis University and Family Voices:
